SCRUTINEERING
• Scrutineering will take place with chief scrutineer Nick Hirst & one
other member from the hosting club when cars are booked in to race. The
scrutineer will require the driver to present the car with the body separated
from the chassis. Random scrutineering will also take place at any time
during a meeting. This will be carried out at the beginning of any heat
or heats. All the cars in the chosen heat will be checked, if a car is found
to be illegal at any point during the meeting that competitor’s points will
be scrubbed for that meeting. If the chief scrutineer is not able to attend
a meeting a reserve scrutineer from a visiting club will be asked to fulfill
the position.
• Each driver will be allocated a race number for the entire season which
is determined by the previous seasons final points table ie If you finished
the season in 10th position your race number will be 10. Each driver will
be given a Slot it challenge decal sheet which contains race numbers &
sponsors logos. Your allocated race number must be displayed on the race
car and the Pendle Slot Racing logo must be displayed on the rear wing and

any any questions regarding illegibility of the finalists cars these need
to be raised immediately with the days chief scrutineer or race controller,
no questions regarding eligibility will be valid after the event.

in the cars at scrutineering and before the start of each race.
• Cars must be entered into scrutineering with rear spoilers in place.

during a heat, the car can be repaired but needs to be scrutinized before
commencing the next heat. In the unlikely event of a total write off where
the original car is beyond repair a replacement car (conforming to the rules)
may be used for the remaining heats & finals but scores will be scrubbed
for that meeting. No change of car is allowed during a heat.
• Chief Scrutineer’s decision is final.
