Drivers must register
with their club representative by completing the entry form with details
as requested, nominate and pre pay for 2 additional rounds out of 6 in which
they wish to enter to be eligible for the 2012 championship. Payment can
be made at the entrant’s first round of the championship. This will help
to give the organisors an indication of the number of drivers attending
each round. In the event of a driver being unable to race at a nominated
round they can then nominate an alternative round.
Club representatives
must then register all their drivers no later than 2 weeks before the
event via Hosting Club, this helps the hosting club to estimate the number
of drivers and arrange Hotels & catering for the event. The hosting
clubs are requested to provide weekend information which includes Hotel
accommodation. Please send these details to Neil Hirst Clubs are also requested
to provide catering over the weekend.
Registered drivers
will be eligible to a 10% discount on purchases from Pendle Slot Racing.

The scrutineers
will require the driver to present the car with the body separated from
the chassis. Random scrutineering will also take place at any time during
a meeting. This will be carried out at the beginning of any heat or heats.
All the cars in the chosen heat will be checked, if a car is found to be
illegal at any point during the meeting that competitor’s points will be
scrubbed for that meeting. If the chief scrutineer is not able to attend
a meeting a reserve scrutineer from a visiting club will be asked to fulfill
the position.
Each driver will
be allocated a race number for the entire season which is determined by
the previous seasons final points table i.e. if you finished the season
in 10th position your race number will be 10. Each driver will be given
ONE Slot it challenge decal sheet F.O.C. which contains race numbers &
sponsors logos. Your allocated race number must be displayed on the front
and both sides of the race car along with the Pendle Slot Racing logo displayed
on the rear wing. This must be visible when the car is in an upright position
and viewed from above. Cars must be presented to scrutineering with race
numbers & sponsors logos in place. Drivers registering for the series
for the first time will be given their race number at registration at their
first event. The top 6 Finishes cars from each class will be opened up for
scrutineering at the end of the meeting.
Cars must be entered
into scrutineering with rear spoilers in place.
Weight may be added
inside the car only and must be securely fixed with glue or BlueTac (Lead
/ lead/alloy substitutes only)
Cars will be checked
to ensure all parts used are eligible and all rules are adhered to.
Motors must remain
sealed/un-opened; any evidence of cans being opened will be viewed as tampering
with the motor and is illegal.
Front wheels must
run with tyres
The maximum overall
width of the front and rear axle/tyre must not exceed 65mm and when the
car is viewed from above wheels and tyres must not protrude from the body.
Failure to enter
scrutineering when required will result in disqualification.
1 car only to be
used through out a meeting, if a part breaks or fails during a heat, the
car can be repaired but needs to be scrutinized before commencing the next
heat. In the unlikely event of a total write off where the original car
is beyond repair a replacement car (conforming to the rules) may be used
for the remaining heats & finals but scores will be scrubbed for that
meeting. No change of car is allowed during a heat.
Replacement of the
Body, Chassis and/or Mount during a meeting must be passed by the scrutineer
Chief Scrutineer’s
decision is final.
All
cars will be placed into Parc Ferme after the last heat then the top 6 cars
from each class will be opened up for scrutineering at the end of the meeting.
Each driver will race once on each lane.
Drivers
will race in seeded order (seeding will be worked out from the championship
table prior to the event). New drivers will be seeded at the bottom of the
points table.
The heats will be raced over a time of 3-5 minutes. At the end of each race
the laps & footages are recorded. Your worst heat/Race score will be
deducted from the total which will be the final positions of the meeting.
The use of a lap top computer with race spreadsheet will be available for
use so that scores can be calculated at the end of each heat.
